Duolingo Music Sheets
Introduction:
Hello! My name is Gregorio Esteban, and I signed up for the Android Duolingo Music Course in September 2024. During my practice, I realized that having music sheets would greatly help in working through challenging parts of the songs included in Duolingo's course. Since there’s no speed control feature in their song exercises, practicing at a slower pace was difficult without written music.
After searching the internet for these music sheets without success, I decided to transcribe them myself. Now, I’m creating this blog, “Duolingo-Music-Sheets,” to share my transcriptions with others who may find them helpful.
As of today, the Duolingo Music Course has three sections:
- Section 1 with 12 units
- Section 2 with 12 units
- Section 3 with 38 units
Each unit consists of a variable number of levels and each level has a variable number of lessons.
Song Naming Format
To keep the songs organized, I’m naming each sheet as follows:
S(Section Number) U(Unit Number) L(Level Number)_Song Title-Page Number
Example:
S001U001L002 Hot Cross Buns-1
I’ll post new music sheets here according to my progress in the course.
I practice each song using these sheets, along with a metronome and a cardboard keyboard that matches the approximate key size on my phone.
Very good Idea, Gregório.
ReplyDeleteHi, I created a blogger account just to send you this message.
ReplyDeleteI started the Duolingo music course, faced the same challenge as you and had the same idea.
Thankfully I googled it first and found your blog before I tried to write the sheets myself.
Thank you very much for your work on it and for sharing it!!
What program do you use to write the sheets? I use Musescore to write mine and if that's the same program, would you mind sharing the original files (not the pngs) so I can open them in Musescore here, reformat in a way that I prefer, print and play along?
Anyway I'm starting to use the images you shared and would like to thank you a lot :D
Your other blog also seems very interesting!
Saludos desde Brasil!
Hi Marcelo,
DeleteThank you so much for your kind words! I'm delighted that my work has been helpful to you.
I use Musescore to create the sheet music. While I'm not able to share the original files at this time the way I want because of my lack of knowledge on html, I hope the images I've provided are still useful for your learning.
Feel free to leave another comment if you have any further questions or suggestions.
This is outstanding!! I'm so grateful for this resource!!
